The IPPF ARO youth-led branch, the Youth Action Movement (YAM), will conduct a digital campaign during the 16 days of activism to amplify IPPF voices of youth, women, and girls on and promote gender equality. The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that kicks off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day.
It was started by activists at the inaugural Women’s Global Leadership Institute in 1991 and continues to be coordinated each year by the Center for Women’s Global Leadership. It is used as an organizing strategy by individuals and organizations around the world to call for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls.
The global theme for this year’s 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, which will run from 25 November to 10 December 2022, is “UNITE! Activism to end violence against women and girls”. The YAM intend, through this campaign, to promote their actions, engagement and activism to end violence against women and girls, leveraging digital technology and social media to increase awareness and advocacy for change.
To surpport this important campaign, IPPF Africa Regional Office is seeking to recruit a Graphic Designer Consultant to provide short-term graphic design services to effectively support the implementation and delivery of the 16 Days of Activism against GBV campaign. These include visuals in English and French accompanied by social media copies in both languages.
