Through its various programmes in 2022, IPPFAR recorded significant achievements in promoting and defending the rights of women, girls, and men in sub-Saharan Africa.
IPPF is a locally owned, globally connected civil society movement.
We work to ensure people are free to make choices about their sexuality and wellbeing, in a world without discrimination.
Building on a proud history of over 65 years of achievement, we commit to lead a locally owned, globally connected civil society movement that provides and enables services and champions sexual and reproductive health and rights for all, especially the under-served.
In 2021, IPPFAR Member Associations provided a total of 109,796,584 sexual and reproductive health and rights services, representing close to half of the total number of SRHR services delivered by IPPF that year.
IPPF works in 142 countries to provide help, advice, services and supplies relating to any aspect of sexual and reproductive health. These services are delivered through an IPPF Member Association (MA).
MAs are IPPF accredited organizations within country. In Africa the Regional Office, we count 33 locally-owned Member Associations and 6 collaborative partners in 39 countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
